No Clean Feed - Stop Internet Censorship in Australia

Baby light my fire

The having of dreams is very often linked to stirring oratory. We’ve recently been reminded of a hope that signifies such a potent leap in democracy and attracts such primitive visceral opposition that indeed, it seemed the stuff of dreams and we well expect the nightmare it’s enemies may one day bring.

Tolerance, equality, acceptance, compromise, rights and transparency to name some of what we claim to stand for – but never have. It remained possible but not probable until realised when Barack Obama took office just last month. He replaced the most disliked President in US history. He ensured the anti-science child minded Creationist White House interns who had taken to mocking “the reality based community” as they decimated the intellect, health and social awareness of their nation via Faith Based practices, were no more. Stem cells, science advice, abortion gag orders, GITMO, Iraq, Afghanistan, Financial action, a capping of salaries, the cessation of religious [read big bucks] lobbying and so much more is probably minor given he also saved us from Sarah Palin’s 35% chance of becomming President if elected V.P.

You may wonder then, who’d bother to write such offensive instructive playground mischief as this:

As the Body of Christ around the world we must pray in the Holy Spirit and the Truth of the Word of God that America will not make the same mistake as Australia and vote in Obama as their next President. The Democrats in the US are the Left of politics (like the ALP & Greens) and the Republicans are the Right of politics. (like the Liberal / National Coaltion)  Obama who is representing the Democrats, with his Islamic background, leftist ideologies and support for abortion, if elected, will drive America away from its Christian heritage and destiny.

Let us pray that the US will get a Republican President (John McCain) and not a Democrat (Barack Hussein Obama).

Or link to that video as “Sarah Palin Sharing the Love of Jesus Christ”. You know the one; “I can do my job but it doesn’t do any good if the people of Alaska’s hearts aren’t right with God – and that’s gunna be your job… we can work together to make sure God’s Will be done here…”. Some readers may recall I borrowed Sarah’s unique contribution here, in a podcast during the final days of the US campaign.

Perhaps if we consider reaction to Labors federal win here in Australia, we’ll find a clue:

Around 5.00 am on Sunday morning, I begin to hear the voice of God say, “Why are you so downcast, rise up and fight. The word you received was from Me. Did not I confirm it through many of My servants? I promised My children, through my servant Moses, that they would enter the promise land when they left Egypt. However, they rebelled against Me and My servant, consequently spending 40 years wandering in the wilderness. During this time My servant Moses went through much ridicule and mocking from My own people, with many saying that they should have stayed back in Egypt.”

My! An important author indeed. Not only is he to improve on the work of Moses, but the Creator comes a-calling all sheepish and cap-in-hand around dawn, for a team huddle.  Could this be some cosmic insight into exactly why the other Divine Revelation, as reported by Bernard Keane in Crikey, along with the glad tidings Peter Costello will send video cheer to a certain Australia Day shin-dig, failed to arise in November 2007:

Jesus visiting Peter Costello. Jesus was preparing his priestly role and as Peter Costello stood in black suite (legal) Jesus began to pull away from his garments invisible threads of law and religion… Then Peter Costello is seated and Jesus stands in front of him and puts His hands on Peter Costello’s shoulders and then standing from behind Jesus again puts His hands on Peter Costello’s shoulders but I notice the right hand has fingers and thumb spread out. This signifying 5 members and in the 5th term for coalition, the governmental leadership will be on Peter Costello’s shoulders. Current prayer need on my heart is the new Treasurer to stand with Peter Costello as P.M.

Ah, hope eh? That good ole Pete will still take his rightful place on the throne, ushered in by none other than the Free Mason hand signalling New World Ordering Jesus himself… but I diverge, dear reader, I diverge. Surely then, either God’s wrong or the “prophet” is wrong? Or so you’d think, unless you lived in some bizarre, primitive dimension where unseen forces can plan your entire – albeit puny – purpose in The Great Scheme. Ha! Oh ye of little faith:

As I begin reading the prophetic word from the Lord, I was greatly stirred in my spirit to read the following words that I had stated, “I will boldly declare that PM John Howard will be re-elected in the Nov election – ‘IF THE BODY OF CHRIST UNITES IN PRAYER AND ACTION.’
Again I heard the voice of the Lord, “For My people were not united in prayer and action for this election. If they were, they would have experienced spiritual revival under My freedom reigning in this nation, but now My people have chosen another way. They have not voted for My will, but for self gain and personal change.”

So, dear reader. There it is. The very reason we’re no longer enjoying the bounty of a PM who rolled in bed with religious cronies and got us our own special file at Amnesty is because we ignored God’s will. Even though Howard often made friends based on the capitalist promise of self gain, not until Rudd did we choose the evil type of self gain.

There’s only one con artist who goes this far, and his name is Danny Nalliah. Danny raises the dead, cures terminal disease, judges prophecies, chats to God, urged divisiveness when Roxon acted on what is rightly noted as rank homophobia, provokes tensions within Anglo-Islamic relations, orders his flock to vote Liberal/Family First lest they suffer for eternity, abuses children psychologically, abuses adults emotionally, uses associations within the religious right and rails against attempts to accept diversity in democracy just to name the basics.

The sort of rubbish readers are fed is along the lines of the government placing homosexuality above fatherhood and if you don’t like it you can expect to be discriminated against, linking eugenics to birth control and abortion in cases of hardship and certain disability, likening our nation to Sodom and Gomorrah, apportioning “blame” and then begging the Lord for mercy on Australia following the same sex IVF legislative changes… you get the idea. Fundamentalism for the Fuddled of Mind.

Recently Danny’s “love” for our nation led him to link the bushfires to the decriminalising of abortion in Victoria. Which is eerily similar to George Carlin’s observation that God has a special place full of fire and smoke, brimstone, torment where he sends you to scream and suffer for ever and ever… but he loves you. Still for a guy who associates with Holocaust deniers and has buddies within The League of Rights he may be fooling some of Mr. Hinch’s commentators who assume he’s mentally ill. So is all of Christendom my fellow atheist, it’s just a matter of degree.

I read it and actually felt physically sick. I have seen putrid and evil stuff from nutters and zealots in the past and would normally consign it to the wastepaper basket. Would not give the writer the warped pleasure of knowing I had even received it.

But today is different. Because this media release comes from a powerful church group called Catch the Fire Ministries. An evangelical group with such influence and support in Canberra that last month they had former Treasurer and would-be Prime Minister Peter Costello video an effusive endorsement for their conference. It’s even proudly on their website.

Derryn’s right. Nalliah is a smarmy one. He not only champions what he calls the “perilous Last Days before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ as The King of kings and The LORD of lords”, but puts equal effort into promoting hatred, fear and ignorance, never losing a chance to irritate, agitate and push for mass division. Indeed, his call; “Can we stop the bushfires? Yes we can!” is certainly directed at Obama for no other reason than to mock someone who holds differing views to his medieval ignorance. It’s indicative of his callousness in his at times rabid zeal.

Being the hapless chosen one poor Danny can’t help being right all the time. He tells us the bible is very clear and he really tries to sound like he genuinely believes he has a divine role to fulfill. Which is why after claiming the recent horror fires are the result of God’s payback wrath he was confused and hurt at the response. Again, God’s words just came to Danny so he reported; “His [God's] conditional protection has been removed from the nation of Australia, in particular Victoria, for approving the slaughter of innocent children in the womb”.

Reading todays entry, it seems he’s close to terrified. He rarely misses an opportunity to offend, disgust and threaten a good smiting for the gullible freethinking members of “CTFM” [as we say in the trade]. In announcing his next prayer day tomorrow – 12 – 2pm at Captain Cooks Cottage – Danny even manages to humbly tell us he parted with some cash. Whatta guy! Sorry Dan. Most of the nation beat you to it – no miracle there I’m afraid, no prophet’s needed.

But notice the change from pre-fire mood taunt:

“My wrath is about to be released upon Australia, in particular Victoria, for approving the slaughter of the innocent children in the womb.  Now, call on My people to repent and pray!”

In these perilous Last Days before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ as The King of kings and The LORD of lords,  we His Church can cry unto Him for mercy through corporate repentance and united prayer!  Let’s not wait for the disaster to come but let’s be pro-active!

We at Catch the Fire Ministries  encourage the whole Body of Christ to join us in His imperative cry through His Word, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn away from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land!” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Interestingly, shortly after Pastor Danny had the dream the following caption ‘Horror fire warning’ appeared in an article in the Herald Sun Newspaper on the 2nd November.

Yes. Even more interestingly, the article on his “dream” didn’t appear until two days after the fire warning hit the news media. What I’d rate as the lowest belly scrape was when these weeping mumbling teeth-gnashing phonies included the bald faced allusion to a positive contribution. Nalliah will “spearhead” a relief, no less. We even read today, he’s in the thick of “relief operations”. It’s as if Nalliahs blinkered and misled adulthood has permeated such that all he sees is opportunities for the opportunist. He can heal the blind. Perhaps he should hearken unto “healer heal thyself”:

CTFM leader, Pastor Danny Nalliah said he would spearhead an effort to provide every assistance to devastated communities, although he was not surprised by the bush fires due to a dream he had last October relating to consequences of the abortion laws passed in Victoria.

He said these bushfires have come as a result of the incendiary abortion laws which decimate life in the womb. Besides providing material assistance, CTFM will commence a seven day prayer and fasting campaign for the nation of Australia tomorrow Wednesday the 11th February.

CTFM has called upon all Australian Bible-believing God-fearing Christians to repent and call upon the Lord Jesus Christ for His mercy and protection over Australia once again.

”Australia is based on Judeo-Christian values. How far have we as a nation moved from these principles instilled in our nation’s inception. How much does it take for a nation to return to God? The Bible is very clear, if you walk out of God’s protection and turn your back on Him, you are an open target for the devil to destroy.

“Can we stop the fires? Yes we can! But it will take God’s children to rally together and repent and cry unto Him as in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (The Holy Bible). We at CTFM have seen this happen several times in the past in Australia, which was also covered by many mainstream media outlets.”

“In our prayer and fasting campaign, we are particularly repenting for the passing of the ‘Decriminalization of Abortion Laws of Victoria’ in addition to other unrighteous, ungodly, and unjust laws and practices which have seen a holocaust of some of the most helpless members of the human race, the unborn.

Then today the loving pairs latest – as Prophet Dan and his now seemingly malleable side kick God, decided to move on from their first plan of action – “praying and weeping” [doing nothing, but feeling better about it]:

Pastor Nalliah, who has been on the ground delivering material aid to assist in the relief operations to bushfire affected areas was very sad that many seemed offended and have taken what he had said out of context, simply believing the media reports, rather than reading the original statement which is on our website.

He [Danny] said, “I love my nation of Australia with all my heart and would give my life to protect its sons and daughters. This love that I have for our nation, every man, woman, and child, led me to release the previous media release as the truth must be spoken out at all cost.  Ezekiel Chapter 33:7 states, “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from Me.”  In John 8:31-32 Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.”

“My heart’s desire is that, as Bible-believing God-fearing Christians repent to the Lord and pray during these seven days, God’s protection would be restored to our state of Victoria and nation of Australia, and that there would be no further disasters.”

Loyal still to the old Howard Theocratic Politbureau, Costello seemed to keep his cosy relationship with Catch the Fire going. Perhaps he has the same dream as Danny. He was however, reported in the Australian as blustering on cue. Keane offered a more accurate impression at Crikey:

What an appalling hypocrite Peter Costello is.

“It is beyond the bounds of decency to try to make moral or political points out of such a tragedy,” he said about the attempts by prize religious wingnut Danny Nalliah’s effort to link the bushfires with abortion.

Costello could do little else, despite being good mates with Nalliah and the now inaptly-named Catch the Fire Ministries.

But it’s odd that Costello has waited until this late juncture to criticise his friends, who are prone to visions about Hamlet Prince of Malvern being handed the Prime Ministership by Jesus. Here are some other quotes from the Catch the Fire crowd that Costello hasn’t objected to….

… It was only a fortnight ago that Peter Costello was happily sharing his own deeply-held religious views (including that the Ten Commandments forms the basis of Australian civic life) with this mob, with no apparent qualms about their views on Islam, homos-xuality, the Holocaust, race war or raising people from the dead. But as soon they say something likely to offend regular voters, he turns on them in a moment, as if he would never have suspected they held such absurd beliefs.

At least Nalliah is happy to display his fundamentalist lunacy for all to see.

Rest

It’s a relief that fake ‘peoples’ party [Christian] Family First’s Senator Fielding has distanced himself from Nalliah. Nalliah was second [shudder] behind Fielding on the 2004 ticket. If Fielding was abducted on the lonely streets of Canberra or hauled before the court of cliche` accuracy or – as Possum suggests – beaten to death over a stimulus package debacle, would we then all be wailing and gnashing? Thankfully Steven Fielding has hardened his soul. He reflected on ‘pastor’ Danny’s vile remarks:

They are an insult to the families who perished in the Victorian bushfires and their grieving friends and families.

At this immensely difficult time these communities need support and the prayers of their fellow Australians, not condemnation.

Mr Nalliah has not been a member of Family First for the past five years and we have no links to him.

Phew!

Barney Zwartz gave a sanitised account and followed it up on his blog, with what might be described as a cautious deconstruction of the import of Nalliahs comments. For reasons known best to Barney, he skirted around the issue of honesty adding;

I think he is misguided, I think he is not averse to public controversy, but I do not think he is a dishonest manipulator. I think he believes what he says, and means well, though I suspect this is intermixed somewhat with personal ambition. He believes that the state faces further disasters unless the people “repent and call on God”. He believes he would be failing in his duty if he did not pass on the warning he believes God gave him.

Barney wrote, “I have no hesitation in unequivocally and emphatically disagreeing with Danny, but nor am I going to join the general vilification”. Which is unusually tame for a voice readers turn to for responses on Christianity. It seems to suggest it is vilification or no criticism. On the other hand, Zwartz does make his views quite clear and feedback on Nalliah being “demonised” was unambiguous. No.

Sadly however, Barney’s concerns run again to what Christians deal with and how they should or should not be confronted with claims of supernatural interception in the modern world. More sadly, his views are formed and only reflect upon the theistic world view – the minority view. The issue of secular values and perhaps their superior relation to such issues is a vital area.

Critical thought and non-indoctrination are free tickets to protection from guilt, fear, ignorance and manipulation to name a sheer minority of crucial moral dynamics. The inherent protection of our vulnerable from superstitious abuse is a community responsibility. To be sure Barney has his say and I’m grateful for reading CityLife Preacher, Mark Connor’s views. Yet it strikes me that even in covering this outrageous moral scam it has the ring of the big Christian apologetic hug. Barney notes that non theists disagree.

Very true, very true indeed. Unfortunately with a desire to prove the value of certain beliefs the temptation to agree, and the failure to see the danger in doing so, is all too easy for theists. Barney Zwartz unwittingly epitomises much of what’s wrong with religious moderates in the modern world. Too terrified to venture into honest discourse they cling to the shreds of what defines the validity of failed beliefs, flawed practices, false promises and still have the gall to refuse the burden of truth and project their psychological oppression onto those not afflicted with the need to believe in demonstrably fake doctrine. As one commenter notes, what’s really bizarre is one deluded journalist, asking readers about a slightly more deluded preachers actions.

The truth is, removal of false ideals is where we must begin. Zwartz merely “thinks”, in his own words, in a more politically correct fashion than Nalliah. He offers no reason – just a vague argument on what his and others views of what a fantasy might be. And as such, is just as dangerous and just as offensive in principle. As mentioned above, it’s how we meet the rubbish so many charlatans fill our lives with that matters – not how we ignore it.

And what Barney needs to acknowledge is that as repulsive as the “Gods wrath” argument is, it holds a strain of logic – the bible does indeed say these things. Barney can offer no idea as to why Christianity is a splintered rabble of beliefs completely unrelated to a generation or two ago. From Nalliahs end times war to the greed of Seventh Day Adventism or Prosperity Pentecostalism to honest secular Anglicanism to the likes of Bishop Spong who admits the very notion of God is one of modern Christianity’s greatest problems.

The danger writers like Zwartz seem utterly unable to grasp and worse, can then offer no intellectual thesis for this gulf in reasoning, is that malignant themes within Christianity attract just like the opposites they often are. Standing silently in the hope your beliefs won’t be challenged is intellectual cowardice. Allowing the coagulation of the simple con artistry and moral thuggery to pollute Christianity is far more unforgivable than the freethought Mr. Zwartz seems to find so inherently inferior.

So, after attracting enough attention to himself to draw more sad, sorry and gullible “warriors” to his side in this lead up to whatever Christian Zionists think will happen with one place into heaven per uncountable believers, I’ll let Danny’s blatant manipulation of – not souls – but first minds, then votes speak for itself. It’s vintage Nalliah. He congratulates Rudd, then “cautions” his Creationist flock of geniuses against oh… ‘Christian Leaders’. Just don’t think of a pink elephant.

From Did I get it wrong?:

At this point I want to caution you, prayerfully watch out for Christian Leaders who support unscriptural, ungodly, and evil legislations as mentioned above, by stating, “We cannot stop them so let’s counter propose by giving them 20-30% of what they ask, giving it a different category or name.” (Read 2 Timothy 3:1-5)

Then these so called Christian Leaders will gloat, “Oh we got a win.” No, you did not! You just willingly approved a part of what is evil in the site of an Almighty, Righteous and Holy God.  The ‘USER  and SEEKER FRIENDLY’ church will continue to tell people what they like to hear rather than what they need to hear.

It’s not about how much prosperity and success we experience on earth by compromising the WORD of God. It is about standing your ground for the Righteousness, Justice and Truth of the WORD of God.  Just because 100 Bishops come together to legalise Homosexual Priests, does not change or alter the WORD of God. His WORD stands forever and ever. (Read Hebrews 4:12-13)

I urge all Bible-believing Christians to watch out and unceasingly pray against the enemy’s strategies, for in the days ahead there will be many wolves in sheep’s clothing, deceiving many in the church. They are from within the church and could even be some very prominent Christian Leaders. (Read 2 Peter Ch. 2)

I do not look for my reputation amongst man, but from Almighty God, and will continue to prayerfully seek our Heavenly Father’s perfect will for our nation of Australia.

In His Grace, Mercy, and Love, Ps. Danny Nalliah

From ‘pastor’ Margaret Court, Dec. 7th, 2007:

“This man stood up for the Body of Christ against the vilification law; he was persecuted by many in the Body of Christ for his stand, but he pushed through for you and me so that we still have that freedom to openly share Jesus Christ.

From the Prophetic office he gave direction to the Church for our Nation, but the church did not take heed to what he had said – that the Body of Christ unite in prayer and action.  (2 Chronicles 7:14)

I believe we are at a very pivotal time for our nation and for the church.

We had righteous leaders in Mr Howard and Mr Costello and how much easier it is for the church to fulfil the destiny spiritually when you have God fearing men at the top leading a Nation.  Now you have a Prime Minister who says, “that public servants will advise me, not God” to lead our Nation.  (Release:  Southern Cross Broadcasting in Melbourne, Nov 30 2007)

I was praying and God showed me we have allowed a religious spirit to come back over our Nation.  God always gives me Numbers 14 for this Nation where Moses repented on behalf of the people; we need to repent on behalf of the church.  The government of this nation is on our shoulders (Isaiah 9:6) – we govern in the spirit; but a lot of the church is looking at man instead of God (Matthew 6:24-33)

I love the body of Christ; what a powerful army when we stand united together in prayer and Word. Let’s stand together for God to manifest Himself; believing and proclaiming that we are a righteous Nation, a God-fearing Nation and that His hand is on our Nation.”
